EDP Winter Outdoor 7's League Recap

This Winter, EDP Soccer held its inaugural Winter 7’s across three weekends. The one-day events were ideal for teams looking to stay sharp over the Winter, and were hosted at Mountain Park in Basking Ridge and Ranney School in Tinton Falls. Teams each played three games within a three hour window, with all games played in a 7v7 format.

“In working with the EDP Member Clubs, the goal was to find a solution to keep teams playing over the Winter months, and provide a low-cost solution without a season-long commitment. The Winter 7’s fit perfectly into what the clubs were looking for, and the 7v7 format created a fantastic environment for the players. We look forward to continuing and growing the program based on the terrific feedback from the clubs after each event,” said Neil Aldred, EDP New Jersey Regional Manager.

Throughout the three events, the program saw excellent growth due to its popularity, with 44 teams participating in the first event, 52 in the second event and 70 in the third event.
