EDP Soccer hosted the EDP South Atlantic Winter Showcase this past weekend at Maryland’s premier soccer complex, the Maryland SoccerPlex. The Boys side saw top teams compete at 16U-19U, and the Girls side had a 19U bracket. The event featured teams from Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut, with teams coming from 24 different clubs.

Highlights From This Past Weekend:
GFRSC 05/04B Elite and NVU Academy '04/05B (VA) both went unbeaten with 2-0-0 records. Both teams defeated PA Mutiny Gold Nitro by a 3-2 scoreline, and kept a clean sheet over PA Classics Green 04.
Calver SA Fury 04G was the lone side to go 2-0-0 in the age group, with wins over FC Ballyhoo and Freedom SC. Alliance SC 2004 Venom Premier drew both of their matches 1-1.
Ellicott City Soccer Club CiTY 2005 Boys Black and Rahway Youth Soccer JFC MAN CITY both went 1-1-0, with JFC winning the match between the two sides 4-2.
Coppermine SC Boys 2006 Premier topped the group going 1-0-1, drawing with Old Line FC Boys 06 Black 0-0 on day one, and defeating Southeast SC B06 2-1 on day two.
Liverpool FCIA Central MD 2007 Boys opened the weekend with a 1-1 draw against Northern Virginia United Academy 2007, and finished the weekend with a 2-0 win over LESC INTERNAZIONALE 07 in the Gold Bracket. In the Silver Bracket, both Total Futbol Club 2007 DVP WHITE and Coppermine SC Boys 2007 Premier went 2-0-0.
