EDP Soccer Leagues Fall 2022 Recap

EDP Soccer is wrapping up the EDP League Fall 2022 season, which has over 2,000 teams from over 450 clubs participating in primarily the 11U-15U Divisions, with more 15U-19U teams joining this Spring. The EDP League Divisions include teams mostly from NJ, PA, and MD, with teams placed by both geography and competitive level, creating a good game every week with limited travel. With promotion relegation between the Fall and Spring, the competition will become even more well-matched this Spring across the over 250 divisions.

Through the first two months of the season, over 7,000 games have been played with more than 40% of those games decided by one goal or less. Teams have been playing competitive matches each weekend featuring great attacking styles of play, with over 30,000 goals scored so far this season and only 170 games that have ended as scoreless draws.

The 11U Boy Central Atlantic Premier I Red Division has been one of the most competitive in the League, with the top six teams separated by just six points, and each having between 3-5 wins. The Football Academy NJ 2012 Boys Black is in first place having completed their eight games and sit at 15 points, with New York Red Bulls Pre-Academy 2012 North in second place on 13 points, and one game remaining against fifth place STA-MUSC 2012B Pre-ECNL who have 10 points. New York Red Bulls Pre-Academy 2012 NY is in third place with 12 points, and have one game remaining against A.S. Junior Elite 2012 Boys who are in sixth place with nine points. NJ Premier B2012 - Blue is in fourth place with 11 points, and Marlboro SA in seventh place with one game remaining also against A.S. Junior Elite 2012 Boys.

Another top bracket has been the 12U Boys South Atlantic Premier I Blue Division, where Bethesda Academy I 2011 and Old Line FC Boys 11 Black both finished with 24 points at the top of the table, and Old Line FC having the edge head-to-head by winning the match-up between the two sides 3-2. Coppermine SC and SYC both had very strong seasons finishing in third and fourth place, with Paragon FA, Achillies, Potomac SA, Maryland International and TSJ FC Virginia all battling for their place with one game remaining for those teams.

In the 11U Girls Mid Atlantic Premier II Bracket four teams at the top of the table have been battling for promotion to Premier I all season long. Philadelphia SC 12 Lobos finished the season in first place 20 points after completing eight games, with FC DELCO Black Conshy '12 and FC Bucks 2012 Girls Regulators both just three points back with 17 points after eight games. FC Europa 2012 Girls Elite has one game remaining on 13 points, and look to close the season out strong against West Mont United 2012 Girls. The division also included Penn Fusion SA, YMS, Steel United PA, and FC Revolution.

In the 13U Girls Age Group, the Central Atlantic Premier IV Blue showed how competitive each division is across the EDP League with nine out of 10 teams having a positive goal differential, and the nine teams having between 9-16 points. Cheshire Soccer Academy 2010 Girls NL is in first place with 16 points, followed by Europa Lions FC 2010G Blue also on 16 points. Cedar Stars Academy North Bergen 2010 Girls EDP, NJ Crush FC 2010 National and Wayne Cisneros 2010 Girls are each on 12 points, and Middletown SC Fire Red has 11 points, with two games remaining to jump to the top of the table. Clarkstown SC 2010 Girls White and STA Mount Olive both have 10 points, and Upper Freehold/Allentown SA UFA Freedom has nine points.

In addition to the EDP League, EDP Soccer also managed over 10 other successful leagues — including the USYS National League Conferences in the East Region.

“This has been another great Fall Season for the EDP League. EDP Soccer is honored to be the home of so many top clubs around the East Region, and to be able to play a part in the clubs’ ability to develop high-quality players. EDP looks forward to another fantastic season this upcoming Spring,” concluded Jen Marcella, EDP Soccer Executive Director of Leagues.
