Ben Stitz, a former standout with Fewster FC and Baltimore Celtic SC and now a Senior at University of Pennsylvania scored two goals in the team's mid-week 3-0 win over Monmouth and had an assist in the team's 3-2 win over #15 Cornell. Stitz's two goals against Monmouth were his 8th and 9th of the season, and it was the 7th straight game for him with a goal.
Stitz is a team captain, leading the team to their best start since 2010. They are 9-1-1, and 3-0-0 in Conference. Last season, he was named Second Team All-Ivy, and has now played in 59 career games. For his career, he has 12 goals and 13 assists.
During his youth career with Fewster FC and Baltimore Celtic SC, he won the Maryland State Youth Soccer Association (MSYSA) 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2017 Maryland Youth Soccer State Cup, the 2015 and 2017 US Youth Soccer Eastern Regional Championship and the 2017 USYS National Championship. Along with MLS Rookie sensation Ben Bender, they also played in the EDP Cup and won the top bracket of the EDP Cup Fall Showcase in 2015. In addition to their tournament and Cup success, they also were a top team in the EDP League's highest divisions.
