Daniel Russo, a former standout with Wall SC Cosmos and now a junior at Notre Dame scored a second-half hat trick in the squad's thrilling 3-2 win over Michigan, and followed up that performance by scoring the team's lone goal in the 1-1 draw vs Pittsburgh.
Russo is now the team leader in goals scored with six, and also leads the team in points with 16. For his career, he now has ten goals and nine assists.
During his youth career with Wall SC Cosmos, he was a four-time NJ State Cup Champion and a two-time Regional Champion. The team's resume also included being a part of USYS National League, 2019 EDP Spring Showcase Champions, 2018 USYS Regional Finalists and 2017 EDP Open Cup Finalists.
