Ben Zakowski, a former standout with TSF Academy and now the Senior Captain at Division 1 program Monmouth University led the program to their first CAA Conference victory on Friday night. Zakowski scored twice, his third and fourth goals of the season, leading Monmouth to a 3-0 win over Stony Brook. He now has 17 goals and 14 assists for his college career.
During his four years at Monmouth, he has earned 2021 MAAC All-Academic Team, 2020-21 All-MAAC Team, 2020-21 United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-Region and 2019 MAAC All-Rookie Team.
During his youth career with TSF Academy, he won state championships and reached national finals, won EDP Cup Showcases and competed in the EDP Open Cup Championships. For Glen Rock High School, he scored scored 51 career goals, 20 assists and as a senior led them to a 23-1-1 overall record and won state sectional final.
