EDP Soccer hosted the EDP New England Winter Showcase this past weekend at Fore Kicks III in Taunton, MA. Featuring 15U-19U Boys and 16U-19U Girls. The event saw 48 teams from CT, MA, NJ, NY, RI and Canada compete. Top clubs in attendance included: Atletico FC, Beekman SC, Best FC, Boston Bolts, Bruno United, Capital United, Cedar Stars Hudson Valley, CFC North, Commack, ConVal SC, CT Rush, Future SA, Hicksville SC, Inter Connecticut FC, Mass City FC, NEFC, Pathfind FC, Real Boston FC, Seacoast United Maine, Southeast SC, Sportsfriends SC, Steel United Mass, Sudbury Academy, Tru Tekkers, Two Bridges FC, Valeo FC, and Western United Pioneers.
Located in a recruiting hotbed surrounded by several Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3 schools, the location provided a great opportunity for the players to be seen by college coaches of all levels. EDP Soccer’s partnership with SportsRecruits and Next Level Video enhanced the recruiting experience for players and college coaches at the event by providing them with video footage for each game and complimentary access to Digital Player Profiles.

Highlights From This Past Weekend:
Bruno United Futbol Club Boys 2004/05 Red (RI) was the lone team in the Gold Bracket to finish with two wins. They opened up the weekend in a high-scoring thriller versus Boston Bolts 2004/05 ECRL, winning the match 4-3. On Sunday, they kept a clean sheet against Steel United MA 2004/2005B MA Elite defeating them 3-0.
CT Rush Select 2004 Girls (CT) and SSF Blizzard from Quebec each went 2-0-0, with each team having a high-powered attack leading to multiple goals in each match, and each team allowing one goal against in each of their games.
In the Gold Bracket, CT Rush Select 2007 Boys (CT) and Boston Bolts 2007 ECRL (MA) both finished 1-0-1, drawing each other in the opening match 1-1. Two Bridges Football Club 2006 (NYE) entered day two coming off a 4-1 win over Valeo, but fell 4-3 to Boston Bolts.
Beekman SC Blaze Premier (NYE) won both of their matches 3-0, defeating Inter Connecticut and Sudbury Academy. HASC Dare Devils (NYE) also won both matches, scoring nine goals throughout their two games.
CT Rush Select 2007 Boys (CT) scored two goals in each of their matches to finish as the lone 2-0-0 team. They defeated Boston Bolts 2007 ECRL 2-1 and Valeo FC 2007 Chelsea 2-0.
Beekman SC Fire Premier (NYE) was the only team in the age group to win both games, and both they and NEFC SS Blazers Girls 2008 (MA) went into day two with a winning record. Beekman came away as the winners with a 4-1 scoreline.
CT Rush Select 2008 Boys (CT) and Future SA 08 DC (NJ) both won their day one matches in dominating fashion, and in the match between the two on Sunday, CT Rush won 2-1.
The EDP Showcase Season concludes with the EDP South Atlantic Winter Showcase on December 17-18, 2022 at the Maryland SoccerPlex.
