EDP Easter Showcase 2023 Recap


Over the Friday and Saturday of Easter Weekend, EDP Soccer hosted over 160 teams from more than 90 clubs at the EDP Easter Showcase. The weekend featured 15U-19U boys and girls teams from all over the Northeast and Canada. All games were played at Tuckahoe Turf Farms in Hammonton, NJ. The event saw over two-thirds of the games decided by two goals or less, with over 880 goals scored.
To enhance each player's showcase experience, all college coaches and players, who provided an email address when they were rostered, will receive access to view, edit, and download their game film in SportsRecruits, compliments of EDP Soccer. Also a few days after the event, all teams will receive access to their video footage in Spiideo to use their video analysis software. Spiideo is the world's leading cloud platform for live streaming and video analysis.

 

A Look At The Weekend’s Results



19U Boys

PA Classics Elite Blue 04 finished at the top of the table in the Gold Division going 3-0-0. On Saturday, they defeated NJ Stallions 2-1 to finish in first place, two points above Liverpool FC Academy 04/05B USYS NL who finished on seven points, without allowing a goal in each of their their games. Other winners in the age group included Penn United '04 Boys, FC Ballyhoo 05 Boys Black, NJ Stallions 05 Zico USYS-EDP and Den of Lions Sporting FC - 2005.


19U Girls

East Coast Football Club NY Surf NL won the Ruby Division winning all three matches while keeping three clean sheets. They recorded wins of 2-0, 4-0 and 2-0 during the weekend. In the Emerald Division, Penn United '04 Girls, Fever SC 04/05 Premier and SJEB FC 05G NL each went 3-0-0. Other winners included ENCO '05/'06 Girls Red and NJ14 Athena 2005.



17U Boys

The Gold Division saw Medford Strikers Academy Boys 2006 finish top going 3-0-0. In their first match, they defeated second place Ironbound SC 2006 ELITE 2-1, which became the deciding factor on the weekend. Other champions in the age group were Deptford Premier FC '06 Boys, PSA Monmouth Boys 06 EDP and Jersey Shore Boca Jr FC Maradona.


17U Girls

FC Copa Elite 64 06G won the Ruby Division in dominating fashion. Allowing just one goal in their three matches, they were one of the top-scoring teams in the event. In the Emerald Division, Deptford Premier FC '06 Girls was unbeaten going 2-0-1 to come in first place. PA Classics Elite Green 06 F won the Sapphire Division.


16U Boys

In the Gold Division, North Mississauga SC finished in first place winning the tie-breaker between them, Deptford Premier FC '07 Boys and Medford Strikers Academy 2007 Boys. They finished with the top goal differential, goals for and goals against in the group. The other champions in the age group were Ironbound SC 2007 - ALLIANCE, Kearny Thistle United FC B2007- Storm Black, STA-MUSC 2007B USYS and PDA Hibernian Danubia 2008.



16U Girls

The Ruby Division had PDA White ECRL 2007 and Liverpool FCNJ 2007G Red Burlington finish tied on seven points with records of 2-0-1. The two sides played to a 1-1 draw, moving the tie-breaker to goal differential, which saw PDA finish in first place as they defeated FC Copa Academy 5-1 in the final game to get the goal difference they needed. Other winners were Deptford Premier FC '07 Girls, and Back Mountain Storm - 2007.


15U Boys

Cambridge Utd OPDL U15B won the Gold Bracket winning each of their games 4-0. United Elite Soccer Inc White 2008 finished in second place, going 2-0-1. Northeast Cantolao FC 08 Boys won the Silver Division, and Highland Youth Soccer Club Galaxy 2008 and Deptford Premier FC '08 Boys were also champions.


15U Girls

The Football Academy NJ 2008 Girls Black won the Ruby Division going 3-0-0 led by their high-powered attack. Winning 4-0 in their opening match, they followed that up with wins over Deptford Premier 4-3, and 5-2 over Quakertown SC. Rancocas Valley SC Dragons 2008, and Girls 2008 Elite DPL were the other two champions in the age group.
