The inaugural EDP Easter Showdown was held on Friday and Saturday and has quickly become one of the region's most popular Easter Weekend events. The 1-day event featured boys on Friday and girls on Saturday, with close to 200 teams competing from five states, including NJ, NY, PA, CT and MD. On Friday, 22 boys teams were crowned champions, and on Saturday 21 girls teams were crowned champions. The event was for 8U-19U Boys and Girls, with all games being played at Tuckahoe Turf Farms in Hammonton, NJ.

On Friday, PDA Hibernian led the way winning three championships. Winners from the club were PDA Hibernian Matthaus 2007/08, PDA Hibernian Mbappe, and PDA Hibernian Ream 2010. Ream 2010 was a highlight for the club, going 3-0-0 while keeping three clean sheets, including an impressive 1-0 win over Giuseppe Rossi Academy U16 Pre-USL Boys and a 2-0 win over FC DELCO Black Dtown '10. The other clubs to win multiple championships on Friday were PA Classics and Southeast SC (MD).
PA Classics MLS Next AD 09M and PA Classics MLS Next AD 11M finished in first place. The 2011 Boys won their three matches 5-0 over RCDE NJ, 1-0 over Match Fit Academy South Jersey and 2-0 over Sporting AC NJ.
Southeast SC Hurricanes 2018/19 Boys and Southeast SC Thunder 2016 Boys both brought championships back to Maryland. The 2016 boys were one of the most dominant teams, outscoring their opponents 15-0 with wins over SJEB FC, Match Fit Surf Academy South Jersey and East Greenwich SA Kingsway Premier.
On Saturday, only one club won multiple championships, with 16 clubs winning a championship a piece. SJEB FC won five girls divisions to go along with one boys division. The winning girls teams included SJEB FC 13G Colonial Pre GA, SJEB FC 14G Pre NAL, SJEB FC 15G Pre GA, SJEB FC 15G Pre NAL, and SJEB FC 17G Pre GA.
One of the most exciting brackets of the weekend was the U16 Girls Red Division. Cheshire 2010 Girls made the final going 2-0-0 in Group A, while in Group B, East Coast Surf 2010G NAL, LVU Rush 10G Aspire and PA Classics NAL Lancaster 10F all went 0-0-2, with East Coast Surf advancing to the final with the best goals for record. In the final, it was once again close, with regulation ending 0-0, and the penalty kick shootout finishing 6-5 in favor of Cheshire SA.
