USYS National League Regional Showcase NJ 2024 Boys Best XI


EDP Soccer has announced the Best XI from last weekend’s USYS National League Regional Showcase NJ 2024 Boys. The selections were made based on the performance of the players during the tournament. Congratulations to the following players who were selected.

 

The Boys Best XI from the USYS National League Regional Showcase NJ 2024 are:

# 8 Ethan Jaworski – Medford Strikers Academy Boys 2006 

Ethan displayed his unique qualities in all three games. Playing as a center attacking midfielder he performed at a high level all weekend through special awareness, quick ball movement, and attacking creativity. Ethan had three assists and a goal over the weekend, and his performance helped the team finish at the top of their group. 


# 45 Jean Izurieta – Cedar Stars Academy North 05/06B Elite 64 

Jean played a key role and was outstanding for Cedar Stars during the entire event. He did a fantastic job controlling the middle of the field as a holding midfielder. Jean showed great composure and quality on the ball. His tireless work rate and fearless attitude helped break down opponents’ plays. Also, his ability to win first and second balls was a crucial factor in the team's success.


# 8 Aiden Troop – Lancaster Football Club U19  

Aiden, one of three team captains for LFC, played with heart, determination, and composure over the weekend helping control the midfield both on the offensive and defensive sides of the game. His play helped lead the team to a top finish in their division. Aiden played 200 minutes and scored in the final two games of the tournament to help LFC secure victory. 


# 3 Danny Rodriguez – OBGC Revolution 2007 

Danny Rodriguez was a rock for OBGC at left back, playing every single minute and effectively shutting down opposing attacks on his side of the pitch. A tireless worker, Rodriguez wasn't content to just defend. He constantly pushed forward with overlapping runs, creating space and stretching the opponent's defense. His attacking contributions extended to set pieces, where he consistently delivered dangerous crosses, both directly for goal and into dangerous areas for teammates. 


# 24 Franco Do Valle – White Plains Academy National 2007

Franco was part of a very dynamic front line that put away nine goals over the course of the three games. Franco found the score sheet three time during the three games, leading the team in goals. His ability to find open space in front of the goal and create spaces was important in the success of the White Plains 07 National Boys this weekend!

# 7 Kyler Richards – RYSA-JFC-BAYERN

Kyler led the team to victory with his leadership, discipline, and flawless technical and tactical play. He broke lines with ease and pinpointed passes for teammates that converted into goals. Kyler is a versatile player who excelled in the midfield due to his extraordinary vision on the pitch.

# 8 Landon Hoenisch – PDA Hibernian Elite 64 08B  

Landon was a force in the midfield leading the team to a 3-0-0 record. His ability on both sides of the ball has been a catalyst for the team all season long, and he was once again a standout player during the weekend.


# 7 Matt Cancelliere – PDA Hibernian Danubia 2008 

Matt was excellent at playing up top, helping the team to an undefeated weekend. He gave opposing back lines issues in each of the matches and used his athletic and technical ability to create scoring chances for his team. 


# 17 Nicholas Avella – Stateline SC 2008B Bears 

Nicholas dominated on both sides of the ball this weekend. He started each game at right back and gave the team an attacking spark on the left wing in the second half. Nicholas marked two late game-winners, putting the team up 2-1 and 4-3 with the equalizing and go-ahead goal, for three goals this weekend. His creativity on the ball opened opportunity after opportunity. His tenaciousness in the back position to win the ball and drive forward helped to spark the team’s attack.


# 7 Jake Hobi – Long Island SC Boys 2009 Academy

Jake is a left-footed right winger who scored three of the team’s four goals at the event. He scored both goals in the team's 2-1 win on day one, and then the team's first goal their final win after cutting inside off the right and smashing a shot it into top corner. 


# 7 João Pedro Moura – Kearny Thistle United FC B2009 USYS Gunners

João Pedro was exceptional this weekend for Kearny Thistle United’s USYS Gunners. João converted on three goals including one game-winner and one game-tying assist. His technical ability to take players on 1v1 and his creativity to get past defenders was crucial for the team's success.
