Second Weekend of EDP Futsal State Cup Maryland 2025 Wraps Up

The EDP Futsal State Cup Maryland 2025 concluded its final weekend of play at CCBC Catonsville. The 9U-15U Girls and 15U-16U Boys were in action, with close to 100 total teams playing throughout the event. Bethesda SC E RL 2013 and Magic Futsal 2010 Girls were the two top-scoring Girls sides, both reaching the 20-goal mark in the group play. FC USA 2011G and Bethesda SC E 1 2014 were the top two defensive sides, both allowing only one goal against in group play. Competition was well-balanced all weekend, with almost 70% of teams winning at least one game, and Bethesda SC leading the way with over five of their teams getting a perfect three points per game.

Bethesda E 1 2016 was able to keep two clean sheets and win all four of their matches. One of their two clean sheets came in the final, when they kept SAC Girls 2016 - Pre-Academy off the scoreboard to win the championship.
Bethesda Futsal E1 came out of the gates strong and managed to reach the 6-goal mark in each of their four games. Going 4-0-0 on the weekend, they won an all-Bethesda final against Bethesda E 1 2015.
PPA Futsal 2014 Green Girls and Bethesda E 2 2014 drew 3-3 in the opening game of the age group, and then both put up big wins to see them into the semi-finals. After semi-final wins, it was a rematch in the final, and it was once again a very close contest. Almost a repeat of the opening game, but this time PPA Futsal 2014 Green Girls held on for a 3-2 win to claim first place.
Bethesda E 1 2013 defeated Coppermine SC North Girls 2013 Pre-GA - TEAM 2 in the final group game to avoid a three-way tie at the top of the table with DCFA Palmeiras. Bethesda clinched the top group spot with a perfect 3-0-0 record. In the final, they kept their second clean sheet of the weekend with a 4-0 win.
FC USA 2011G went unbeaten over the weekend. Their perfect weekend included wins over VRSC Futsal 2011 Girls Pride, VRSC Futsal 2011 Girls Red Stars, and a victory over DCFA 2011 Girls Cruzeiro for the championship.
The age group featured several close matches including the final. Champions Calverton Soccer Club Ponce Eagles 2010 won their opening game 4-3 and drew their second game 4-4. These close matches prepared them for the final, where they defeated Bee Gees by a 6-5 scoreline.
Magic Futsal 2010 Girls, one of the top-scoring teams of the weekend, was a force all tournament long. With back-to-back 7-1 wins on day one, they then opened day two with a 6-0 win and ended the weekend with a 9-3 win in the championship game.
FC Brasil JOGA played in some of the highest-scoring games across both weekends, with their four games seeing a total of 59 goals scored. Their two group game wins were 9-5 and 8-5, and they also had a 7-7 draw to make final. The championship was a back-and-forth high-scoring match that saw FC Brasil defeat Takoma Thunder NL 2009B 11-7.
