Quality Competition and Recruiting Opportunities Highlight the EDP Cup Spring Showcase

The EDP Cup Spring Showcase took place this weekend with clubs in action from seven states. Close to 250 teams took the field, with top talent on display all weekend long. In addition to the Showcase, the 2025 East Region ODP Tournament boys' event was also held at Tuckahoe Turf Farms, giving college coaches the unique opportunity to recruit from quality teams, and see ODP players from around the region, all at one venue. Teams from many of the nation's best platforms competed, creating new and unique matchups for many of the teams in attendance.

In the Platinum Bracket, Team Challenger FC B07 Black went 3-0-0 to take the EDP Cup back to Ohio. With an impressive attacking performance in each game, they gave JFC-BAYERN their only loss of the weekend with a 3-1 win, defeated Medford Strikers 2007 5-2, and Jersey Rangers SA 4-1. Voorhees Vortex and Quick Touch Futbol 06 both finished with 7 points to top the Gold Bracket, Iron Valley SC 2007 won the Silver Bracket, and Cohansey Premier 2006/07 Navy won the Bronze Bracket.
Ohio Premier FC HS Girls Showcase Team went 3-0-0 in the Diamond Bracket, opening the weekend with two 1-goal games. A 2-1 defeat over Cohansey SC, was then followed by a thrilling 5-4 win over Back Mountain Surf 07/08G Storm. They sealed first place with a 5-2 win over Stateline SC-Varsity Elite on Sunday. Rotterdam RUSC U18 NL Girls won the Ruby Bracket, going 3-0-0 and scoring 11 goals over their three games.
Stateline SC-2008B Bears won the Platinum Bracket and was the only team to get more than 4 points in the group. They had back-to-back 2-0 wins on Saturday against Brooklyn United Academy B2008 National and Hershey SC 2008 M Elite and then closed out the weekend with a 3-1 win over Javier Velasco Soccer Academy U17. Other age group winners included PSA Monmouth '08 Boys RL, HEX FC Keystone ECNL-RL 08B, Brooklyn United Academy B2008 Regional, Deptford Premier FC '08 Boys, Twin County SA Inferno 2008B EDP, PSA Monmouth '08 Boys EDP, and Stateline SC-2008B Eagles.
Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals 08G ECNL topped the Diamond Group, beating out both Pennridge Yellowjackets SA United and NJ Surf South Shore 2008 Girls by one point. Five out of six teams had a chance to top the table going into day two, but Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals 08G ECNL’s 4-1 win over YMS 2008 Girls Premier Spirit clinched them the championship. Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals also defeated Pennridge United 2-0 and drew 0-0 against Philadelphia SC Coppa 08 Express. Other age group winners included Match Fit Academy FC 2008 Girls Shore ECRL, STA-MUSC 2008G USYS, and Philadelphia SC Coppa 08/09 United.
The Platinum Bracket was one of the most well-balanced Brackets in the tournament, with none of the six teams having more than one loss. Tobar Futbol Academy Universidad B09 EA and YMS Premier Warriors ECNL RL 09B each had one loss and two draws, while Future SA U09B Elite 64 and Match Fit Academy Ocean 2009 both tied all three of their games. Brooklyn United Academy B2009 National finished in second place going 1-1-1, and SJYS Elite finished in first place going 2-0-1, defeating Brooklyn United in the final game. Other age group winners included FC Chesco 2009 Boys, Manhattan SC Monaco ECNL-RL B09, Keystone FC Elite 09B, PSA Monmouth '09 Boys RL, Silver Lake Soccer Academy Titans (NYE), Wall Elite Munich, Voorhees SA Wolfpack 2009, and Stateline SC-2009B Eagles.
Deptford Premier FC 09G Elite NL dominated the Diamond Bracket, recording huge wins over Match Fit Mercer 2009 ECNL RL and Huntingdon Valley AA HVAA Lightning 2009, and defeating Springfield SC Supernovas 09 3-0. NJ Surf South Shore 2009 Girls won the Ruby Bracket, Pittsgrove SC Milan ‘09 won the Emerald Bracket, Match Fit Academy FC 2009G Morris ECRL the Sapphire Bracket, and Northern Burlington Premier Hurricanes 2009 won the Pearl Bracket.
PSA Monmouth '10 Boys RL went 3-0-0 to win the Platinum Bracket. On day one, they commanded the group with 3-1 and 5-1 wins. On Sunday, they kept a clean sheet, recording a 3-0 win to cap off their perfect weekend. Other age group winners included World Class FC 2010 ECNL RL, Cheshire Soccer Academy 2010 Boys Black, PDA Hibernian Ream 2010, Match Fit Academy Ocean 2010, FC Westchester 2010 White, and Deptford Premier FC '10 Boys.
Franklin Elite Freedom 2010 won the Diamond Bracket, winning three very close matches. They had two clean sheets on day one – a 1-0 win over PA Mutiny Gold Soul, and a 2-0 win over Brooklyn United Academy G2010 National. A 2-1 win over SJEB FC 10G NAL helped them earn first place, and finish three points above Freehold SL Elite Thunder and Harrison Swarm 2010. Other age group winners included Huntingdon Valley AA HVAA Lions 2010, Deptford Premier FC '10 Girls, and Dillsburg Area SC DASC Xplosion Purple.
