2025 EDP Cup Fall Boys Showcase Spotlights Top Team Talent

The EDP Cup Fall Boys Showcase took center stage over the weekend, with over 200 teams competing at Tuckahoe Turf Farms in Hammonton, NJ. Teams were in attendance from seven states, including NJ, PA, NY, CT, MD DE, and FL. Brackets were comprised of teams from MLS NEXT, NAL, ECNL, and National League, creating highly competitive match up against diverse competition.

A focal point of the weekend was the MLS Next Friendlies, with MLS Next Homegrown sides TSF Academy, Real FA, BW Gottschee, Keystone FC, Football Academy NJ and Ironbound SC all competing.

Over 90 college coaches checked in over the weekend, lining the sidelines to find their next top recruit. Colleges from Division I, Division II, Division III, JUCO and Universities from Europe were all in attendance, highlighted with schools from the Big East, CAA, NEC, MAAC, A10, NJAC, MAC, PSAC, Centennial, Liberty League, ODAC and more!

Highlights from the showcase at each age group are below:

U19 Boys

Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals 07/08B ECNL went 3-0-0 in the Platinum Bracket, with left midfielder Brendan Welsh scoring 6 of the teams 11 goals. After a big win on day one, the squad returned Saturday and won a close 2-1 match over Florida side J Petrov Academy 2007/08, and then closed out the event with a 4-2 win over Lancaster FC ECNL RL 08/07 Boys.

In the Gold Bracket, Maryland side BRAUSA '07/'08 Blue kept three clean sheets in their three wins—Back-to-back 3-0 wins over Cedar Stars Academy Monmouth NAL Academy 08/07 and BW Gottschee U19 MLS Next II, and then a 1-0 win over Upstate Elite Soccer Academy from NY West.

U17 Boys

The Platinum Bracket saw three teams finish with a 2-1-0 record, with many very close matches. BRAUSA '09 Blue, SJYS Elite and STA MOSC ECNL RL B09 were the three teams to go 2-1-0. STA defeated J Petrov and SJYS Elite after dropping the opening match to HEX FC ECNL, while SJYS Elite won their first two matches over FC Europa ECNL RL and BRAUSA. BRAUSA won their first and last matches, defeating J Petrov and Hex FC ECNL.

FC Copa Academy 2009 ECNL RL topped the Gold Bracket going 2-0-1, recording wins over YMS ECNL RL 09 and Reading Rage Surf B09 NAL.

U16 Boys

YMS ECNL RL B10 won the Platinum Bracket with a 2-0-1 record. A 3-1 win on the opening day over a very strong J.A.E. Academy 10 side was followed by a 2-1 win over LI Slammers B2010 NAL. They finished the weekend with a 2-2 draw against Manhattan SC Chelsea 2010 ECNL.

PSA Monmouth '10 Boys ECNL scored 8 goals going 2-0-1 to win the Gold Bracket. They had a 3-0 win over Lancaster FC ECNL RL B2010, a 1-1 draw vs Upstate Elite Soccer Academy 2010, and then a 4-2 win over Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals 10B ECNL.

U15 Boys

YMS ECNL RL B11 finished in first place of the Platinum Bracket after they drew 0-0 against Upstate Elite Soccer Academy 2011. SJEB FC 11B ECNL would go on to beat Lancaster FC ECNL RL B2011 2-1, keeping Lancaster at 6 points, and seeing YMS top the group with seven points. YMS's first two matches were a 3-1 win over Manhattan SC Real 2011 ECNL and a 2-0 win over SJEB FC 11B ECNL.

In the Gold Bracket, FC Europa 2011 Boys ECNL RL went 3-0-0, scoring 11 goals, and allowing no goals against during their wins over PSA Princeton '11 Orange, Warrington SC 2011B Fusion, and Anthracite FC 2011 Boys Arsenal.
