EDP Cup Spring Showcase 2021 Boys Best XI



EDP Soccer has announced the Best XI Boys from last weekend’s EDP Cup Spring Showcase 2021 event. The selections were made based on the performance of the players during the tournament. Congratulations to all players who were selected. The Best XI from the EDP Cup Spring Showcase 2021 are:

 
PENN ALLIANCE SELECT ELITE ‘04 - KIERNAN WEBB #25

Webb, against top 2004 teams in the nation, made numerous next level saves which led to the team conceding the least amount of goals in the top bracket. Kiernan, quickly and confidently, came off his line multiple times to collect a ball out of the air which he then turned into quick moments of transition. Webb is an incredible goalkeeper that was integral to the success of the team.

NEW JERSEY SURF SOUTH SHORE 02/03B - DOMINIK WARDA #10

Dominik was excellent this past weekend. He scored three vital goals in leading his team to three wins. In the final game of the day with his team trailing he rose to the occasion and scored the winning goal to seal the comeback victory.

PA DOMINION FC 04 RANGERS - DIEGO GUZMAN #3

Guzman was an ever-present menace all weekend racking up four goals and one assist. His ability to consistently beat defenders 1v1 created positive numbers up situations across the pitch.

PENN ALLIANCE SELECT ELITE ‘04 - PATRYK ROJEK #17

Rojek was instrumental in the team's victories over three of the top 2004 teams in the country. He was a massive influence on the rest of the team with his leadership and relentless determination to win, as he had three goals and assisted on one of the team’s ten total goals this weekend. Despite being a young 2005, Patryk's willingness to compete at every moment, along with his dominance in the attacking third, are why top universities and MLS Next programs have taken interest.

LOWER MERION SC INVICTUS - SAM NYENKA #11

Sam played a major part in the LMSC Invictus attack as he finished with three goals on the weekend, one in each game. He was able to create chances all weekend with his pace, strength and 1v1 ability.

CT RUSH ELITE 04 BOYS - JAIDEN PANIAGUA #13

Jaiden controlled and organized the build-out play for the team when they were in possession. He did well to organize us defensively and keep a clean sheet all three games. He was very good in winning aerial duels, 1v1 battles and reading the game.

CEDAR STARS ACADEMY NEWARK 2004 EDP NL - BELMAR JOSEPH #41

Belmar is a box to box midfielder who is equally adept at breaking up opposition attacks as he is in creating and scoring chances at the opposite end. Although playing up as a 2005 in the 17U division, Belmar shows leadership and range in his play beyond his years.

BRAUSA UNITED FC ‘05 BLUE - LUKE MEJIA #10

Luke is a crucial player for the team playing out of the #10 and #9 positions. He is a versatile player that always contributes to the team in various ways. His work rate is incredible and he is also a very skillful player. Luke brings a lot of energy to this team and he is a big asset to our group. Besides being a great player, Luke is also a great kid with an awesome personality.

SJEB RUSH 05B ACADEMY - JACKSON BIALY #16

Bialy helped lead the squad to an undefeated weekend with a strong attacking presence in the midfield. Bialy scored two goals, created chances for his teammates and supported the team defensively by playing multiple midfield positions throughout the tournament.

NJ PREMIER FC 2006 BOYS - MARK BRONNIK #18

Mark was terrific all weekend long at center forward, scoring four goals and assisting on two goals, leading the team to an undefeated record.

PSC ACADEMY 2006 BOYS BLUE - DANNY SIERCHIO

Danny was composed on the ball creating numerous attacks with runs and decisive passing in the attacking third. He won numerous balls in the air and floor and was pivotal in keeping two clean sheets for the team this weekend.
