EDP Cup Fall Showcase 2021 Girls Best XI



EDP Soccer has announced the Best XI from last weekend’s EDP Cup Fall Showcase Girls event. The selections were made based on the performance of the players during the tournament. Congratulations to all players who were selected. The Best XI from the EDP Cup Fall Showcase 2021 Girls are:
 
LEHIGH VALLEY UNITED LVU 2004G BLACK - MARIANA AUBELE #10

Mariana had an excellent weekend at the Showcase. She provided great possession, ball-winning and created several attacking opportunities for the team. She bounced between attacking and defensive center mid and her hard work was one of the main reasons the team had a 3-0 record in a really competitive bracket.


SDA UTICA 04 BLASTERS - LAIKEN KISER #16

Laiken controlled the midfield and led her team's attack. Her strong play on the ball and creativity along with her ability to play with pace put pressure on the opponents defense leading to several scoring opportunities for herself and her teammates. Laiken’s performance is even more impressive as she is a dominating player even while playing up an age group against some of the best teams in the region.

MILLVILLE SA PRIDE - JAYME SOOY #11

Jayme Sooy performed at a high level for the Millville Pride the entire weekend. Playing almost every minute of every match, Sooy worked relentlessly in the middle of the field for her squad. Jayme’s work rate, vision and creativity were on full display as she continually created opportunities for her teammates and shut down the counterattack of the opposing side. She tallied two goals on the weekend and was the true epitome of a team player and catalyst for a successful tournament weekend.


PENNSYLVANIA RUSH 2004 RUSH - MADISON KENNEDY #60

Madison was a difference maker on the wing all weekend. She consistently kept possession and beat defenders 1v1. Because of Madison’s hard work, she finished with four goals at the showcase.

NEW JERSEY SURF SOUTH SHORE 05G - MADDIE EYE #9

Maddie scored in all three games this past weekend. She was pivotal in the team’s success and along with her teammates was able to give a good performance in front of the college coaches in attendance.

EAST MEADOW FARMINGDALE ECRL 05 - TYLA VUOTTO #11

Tyla dominated as a central midfielder and was the engine for the team during the showcase. Her energy level throughout the weekend was unmatched and she was a catalyst for the team's success. Tyla played box to box on both sides of the ball. Along with covering ground in the midfield, Tyla contributed three goals and two assists.

REAL JERSEY FC 2006G - MORGAN KOTCH #16

Morgan had three goals in three games including two in the final game to win the group. She led the front line in all three matches, leading the team to a 3-0-0 record and a championship weekend.

RUSA FC G06 GOLD - MIA ABBEY #10

Mia played attacking midfield and winger and was at the center of the attack. Picking up a goal and three assists helping RUSA to a 7-1 goals advantage. She battled all weekend and set the tone with her intensity and skill.


NEW JERSEY RUSH 06G GREY NL EDP - MAGDALENA MADJOR #2

Magdalena dominated as a central midfielder and was the engine for the team during the tournament. Her energy level and determination led to the team's success. She played both sides of the ball and created offensive opportunities that led to many of the goals and assists this weekend.

SYRACUSE DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY SDA 2007 ORANGE - MYA CARROLL #1

The team's center forward led the squad to a 3-0-0 record, creating issues for the opposing teams back line during every match, and scoring two goals during the competition.

WALL ELITE NAPOLI - GABRIELLE MELLETT #20

Gabrielle was outstanding all weekend at center back. She was a massive part of the team keeping clean sheets in all their games over the weekend. She led and organized the team throughout all the games and was phenomenal at playing passes through lines of pressure to start the teams attacks.
