Over the next two weekends, EDP Soccer will host the EDP Cup Fall, annually ranked as one of the top events in the nation by GotSoccer. The first weekend, October 9-10, will feature the 9U-15U boys teams playing at Tuckahoe Turf Farms in Hammonton, NJ and Green Branch Park in Pittsgrove, NJ. The second weekend, October 16-17, will feature the 9U-15U girls with all games played at Tuckahoe Turf Farms in Hammonton, NJ.
Teams from MLS Academies, USYS National League Conferences, MLS NEXT, Girls Academy, EDP, ECNL, and other leagues will be in attendance creating a best vs. best experience as clubs compete against different competitive platforms. Local MLS Academies New York City FC and Philadelphia Union will have multiple teams in attendance this weekend as they look to test themselves against the best teams around.
This year's event will see teams from ten different states competing, including out of region powerhouses such as Nationals from Michigan and Cincinnati United Premier from Ohio.
A look at some of the events' brackets:
10U Boys
The Platinum group features Nationals Oakland 12B Black in Group A, who will travel from Michigan to take Philadelphia Union Junior Academy, The Football Academy of NJ 2012B Black and Barca Academy NY B2012 Memphis, as each team represents one of the top teams from their respective state. In Group B, VE Krieger, South Shore FC Juventus, STA 2012B Pre-ECNL and SJEB FC 12B Red represent four of the best teams in the mid Atlantic region.
11U Boys
Six different states will be competing in the Platinum group, with a very strong presence from Pennsylvania with Philadelphia Union Junior Academy, Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals 11B Black and Lower Merion SC Irmaos all earning a spot in the top flight. From NJ is The Football Academy NJ 2011B Black was unbeaten at the EDP Fall Kickoff, and started EDP league play 3-0-0 without allowing a goal and perennial powerhouse Cedar Stars Academy Bergen Pre-Academy. From Michigan is Nationals Oakland 2011B Black who has been dominant in each of their games this fall season. Rounding out the bracket is Coppermine SC 2011B Premier who is ranked #1 in MD, and Juventus Academy Boston from 2011B Biano from Massachusetts.
12U Boys
In the Platinum Royal group, Nationals Oakland 10B Black returns after winning the event in 2020, and joins a loaded group that includes Philadelphia Union Junior Academy and NYCFC 2010 White. Club Ohio 2010B Aris traveled to Hammonton NJ with a very impressive resume, where they will test themselves vs. NJ State Champion The Football Academy of NJ 2010B Black and PDA Pre-MLS. Also in the group is STA 201B ECNL and East Coast FC Boca Juniors 2010, who won their first 2 events this Fall and are ranked 7th in the nation.
In the Platinum Scarlett group, Cincinnati United Premier 10 Kings, the #1 ranked team in Ohio travels east to take on PDA Pre-ECNL, Torpedoes SC Red and Cedar Stars Academy Staten Island 2010 Green in Group B. In Group A, MLS Academy NYCFC Blue will battle with Real Jersey FC 2010 Pre-MLS, PSA North Elite ’10 Orange and Lehigh Valley United 2010B Black.
13U Boys
Achilles FC 2009B, one of the top 2009 teams in MLS NEXT headlines the Platinum group. The side are unbeaten through four games in the MLS NEXT, including a 0-0 draw with Philadelphia Union. Trying to knock off Achilles will be ECNL sides World Class FC and STA, and the #1 ranked team from Michigan and Michigan State Champions Liverpool FC MI Central 09B Academy. Also in the group are Valencia CF Academy NY and Barca Academy NY from Long Island, and SJEB FC 09B Academy and Cedar Stars Academy Bergen from New Jersey.
14U Boys
The last time Brentwood SC 2008 Man City were at Tuckahoe Turf Farm, they walked away with the USYS Eastern Regional Championship. They return to compete in a very challenging Platinum group that includes the USYS Eastern Regional Semi Finalist Lower Merion SC Thunder. Pennsylvania State Cup Finalist Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals 08 Black joins Lower Merion SC in group B along with Ironbound SC 2008 United and Baltimore Celtic SC ECNL 08. With Brentwood SC in Group A are PDA Hibernian Matthaus, Pennsylvania Rush 2008 and Barca Academy PRO NY 2008.
11U Girls
Cincinnati United Premier 11G North will be taking on some of the Mid Atlantic’s top teams in the Diamond group. They will be in Group A with SJEB FC 11G Red, Marlton SC Chiefs Orange 2001 and Match Fit Academy Shore. In Group B, FC USA 2011G will travel North from Maryland to play FC Bucks Avalanche, Torpedoes SC 2011G and Real Jersey FC 2011.
12U Girls
New Jersey State Cup Champion Harrison SC Swarm will be in the Diamond group where they take on powerhouse World Class FC 2010 Pre-ECNL, YMS 2010G Force and NJ Premier FC 2010G. In Group B, New York West #1 ranked team CNY Premier SC 2010 will play NJ #1 ranked SJEB FC 10G Red, Coppermine SC 2010G Premier and Warrington SC United.
13U Girls
Two Girls Academy League teams headline the Diamond bracket, with NEFC 2009 GA from Massachusetts and SJEB FC 09 GA matched up with some of the USYS Nationals League Conferences top teams. NJ Blaze were New Jersey State Cup Finalists, and will be joined by Jersey ShoreBoca JR FC O’Hara, Jackson SC Wolfpack, Real Jersey FC 2009G, Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals, and PSA North Elite ’09.
14U Girls
FC Somers Lady Hammers return to Tuckahoe Turf Farms as USYS Eastern Regional Finalists to compete in the Diamond group that also includes USYS Eastern Regional Semi Finalist NLSA 08G. They are joined by SJEB FC 08 GA, two-time NJ State Champion Torpedoes SC, and Wall SC Chelsea who is ranked #10 in the nation. Rounding out the group is Lionville SC Blue Warriors, FC Europa 2008G Elite, NJ Premier FC 2008G and FC Europa 2008G Elite.
