ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
Academics play an integral role for all student athletes. As a college bound student athlete in high school, there are several requirements that need to be met in order to be eligible to play college athletics. As a student athlete in college, students must maintain progress towards a degree to stay eligible to participate.
Core Classes
To be a full qualifier and eligible to participate freshman year at the NCAA Division I level, a college bound prospective student athletes must:

Complete sixteen (16) core courses. Of those sixteen (16) core courses, ten (10) must be completed before senior year of high school. Seven (7) of the ten (10) must be in English, Math or Natural/physical science.

For NCAA Division III level, a college bound prospective student athlete must meet the admission requirements of the individual college.

The score a college bound prospective student athlete needs to achieve is based on a sliding scale that coincides with a students GPA.
QUALIFIERS
Division I and Division II

College-bound student-athletes may practice, compete and receive an athletics scholarship during their first year of full-time enrollment

Division I

Academic Redshirt

College-bound student-athletes may receive an athletics scholarship during their first year of full-time enrollment and may practice during their first regular academic term, but may NOT compete during their first year of enrollment.

Division II

Partial Qualifier

College-bound student-athletes may receive an athletics scholarship during their first year of enrollment and may practice during their first year of full-time enrollment at a Division II school, but may NOT compete.
