FORFEIT AND CANCELLATION POLICY

Forfeits  

The home team must notify both the assignor and the league immediately—whether they are forfeiting or have been informed that the away team is forfeiting—to ensure referees can be notified as early as possible.

When a match is forfeited by either team, the center referee will request payment from the team/coach/club that forfeited the match. Payment must be made directly to the center referee within 48 hours of the forfeiture notification to the league. 

If payment is not received within 48 hours, the center referee will contact the head assignor who will inform the league and team they will not be assigned referee(s) for their next match.  

Upon the center referee receiving payment, he/she will provide the game fees to the ARs. Referees are not to take payment for any unassigned or no-show AR slot. 

Cancellations  

When a match is cancelled by either team, outside of the required window within 7 days of the original game date, the center referee will request payment from the team/coach/club that cancelled the match. Payment must be made directly to the center referee within 48 hours of the cancellation notification to the league. 

• Sunday Game Date-change needs to be requested by Monday – 8am
• Saturday Game Date-change needs to be requested by Sunday- 8am
• Friday Game Date-change needs to be requested by Saturday- 8am

If payment is not received within 48 hours, the center referee will contact the head assignor who will inform the league and team they will not be assigned referee(s) for their next match.

Points (Forfeits & Cancelations) 

• No team is charged for a forfeit if the game is not yet assigned. 
• There is no charge for games that are canceled due to weather as long as the weather policy protocol is followed.
