Hello Teams and Clubs as a reminder EDP has transitioned our Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 leagues onto the new GotSport system. Please review the items below for assistance on vital items in this new software.
*All communications should be done in the chat so that the league can monitor them.
**The opponent’s emails and phone numbers can also be found in the chat if a team is unresponsive

*EDP will review the game, and approve the change if appropriate
Below are a few referee policies to remember as we are beginning a new season
-Teams all go through their local referee assignor to assign referees for their EDP games. If you do not know whom your assignor is, please reach out to your club administrator as soon as possible. Teams from these states are responsible for getting referees for all EDP League games.
-Please remember that once the schedule is locked, all game changes must go through the Game Change Form. All changes should be done 2 weeks before the scheduled date, and any changes within the 2-week window may be denied
-In an effort to continue to improve the quality of the league, please take a moment after the game to fill out the Referee Feedback Form. This will allow us to monitor referees, and enhance your experience. This will also allow us to track which clubs are neglecting their responsibilities to obtain referees.
- EDP will at NO times provide the names, contact details or full copies of game reports to players, parents or coaches. This request must be made to the state association or referee assignor.
All forms can be found above under additional forms
Lastly, here is the reminder of our No Show Policy for Referees
-There is a grace period of 30 minutes.
-Play with a designated ref or parent if no referee can be found.
-If a designated referee is chosen, both teams must approve of the individual
-The default position of the league is if the game is played the result stands.
-If teams decide to play the game as a friendly, both teams must send notification to the league prior to kickoff. This will avoid any disagreement about the result of the match.
-If the game is not played, then it will be rescheduled and the home team will travel to the opposing team.
-The League will contact the local assignor and team regarding situation.
-The League and DOC will have a meeting to resolve.
Below is a reminder of the cancellation and game change policies for EDP. Please make sure you read and understand all policies so we can continue to avoid conflicts and make sure all clubs and teams stay on the same page.
1. Emailing a league representative is not an acceptable way to change a game. You must submit a Game Change Request via https://www.edpsoccer.com/page/show/4376518-edp-fall-league-support
-The league will send both teams a message of the approved change. If you do not receive a response by Thursday of the week, please reach out to the league to confirm that the game change request went through properly, and what is going on with it.
-Please allow 48 hours to respond to all Game Change Form Requests
2. Coaching conflicts are not an acceptable reason to cancel a game. You will need to find another carded coach in the club to cover the game. These conflicts should have been taken care of prior to the season.
3. Player availability is not an acceptable reason to cancel a game. We are a US Youth Soccer sanctioned league, and teams can supplement their roster with players from other teams within their club. We do not want to go against our mission of a good game every week, but we cannot have games being changed last minute due to conflicts from other sports, vacations, or other reasons.
4. Conflicts with games from other leagues are not an acceptable reason to cancel a game.
5. USYS State Cup dates are available in advance, and you should work with EDP opponents ahead of time to avoid conflicts. We understand that you do not know if you will play again until you win the previous round, but you must be proactive in working with your opponents to let them know that you may have a state cup game, and come up with an alternate date. This needs to be done immediately following your previous game so that the home team has time to make appropriate changes. When possible, these games need to be worked around your EDP schedule. It will not be acceptable to not play a league game due to State Cup if both games are not scheduled on the same day.
6. No game will be moved from the original date until a new date is agreed upon. We will not allow you to agree to postpone a game for later in the season without a new date confirmed.
7. If a team cancels a game within five (5) days of the agreed game date, they will be responsible for the total referee fees, facility fees for that match and may be subject to a forfeit.
8. A neutral site will only be used by mutual consent of both teams unless mandated by the league. EDP is a regional league, and some travel is expected.
9. There is a grace period of 30 minutes for unforeseen incidents on a Game day, such as no player passes, no carded coach, no referee, etc...
10. If there is no Referees:
-Play with a designated ref or parent.
-Both teams must approve the individual used for refereeing.
-If teams decide to play the game as a friendly, both teams must send notification to the league prior to kickoff.
-The default position of the league is if the game is played the result stands.
-If the game is not played it will be rescheduled and the home team will travel to the opposing team.
*Please make sure you are keeping the referees in mind when changing games, as they are assigned in advanced, and even a small change can lead to referee issues
**A one referee system will suffice for U11-U12 games, though a three referee system may be assigned when available. A three-referee system is preferred for all U13-U19 games.
11. Please keep in mind that the weather in your area may be different then the weather in your opponent’s area, and keep the safety of the traveling families in mind when coming to a weather related decision.
12. If you need to flip who is the home and away team in a game, please contact the league as that change need to be made by a League Administrator.
13. If you want to send out a game sought notice, please fill out the game sought form found at https://www.edpsoccer.com/page/show/4376518-edp-fall-league-support
14. If you want to add a game to GotSoccer, please fill out the Game Addition form found at https://www.edpsoccer.com/page/show/4376518-edp-fall-league-support
