EDP Partners With Top Canadian Club To Host Major Tournament

Winners of Event Qualify for the US Youth Soccer National League EDP Conferences Spring Showcase

East Brunswick, NJ (July 26, 2018)-- EDP, one of the largest organizers of youth soccer leagues and tournaments in the United States, today announced it will partner with a top Canadian club to conduct the EDP Canada Qualifier, winners of which will earn their way to the US Youth Soccer National League EDP Conferences Spring Showcase to be held in Hammonton, NJ in April of 2019.  The event will be for boys and girls in the 13U – 18U age groups.

EDP and Milton Youth Soccer Club of Ontario will conduct the EDP Canada Qualifier on September 29 – 30, 2018 at the Creditview/Sandalwood Sportsfields in Brampton, Ontario.  

The EDP Canada Qualifier will also host a coaches reception, which will feature keynote speakers who are experts in the college recruitment space.  

“This event will bring together some of the most competitive teams from across Canada to compete in a first-class environment,” said EDP Chief Executive Officer Alan Shilling.  “Providing a pathway to college is at the heart of EDP programming and we look forward to be working with Milton Youth Soccer Club to make this pathway available to our neighbors to the north.” 

“We have been attending EDP events for years and have always been impressed with their quality,” stated Kevon Celestine, Milton Youth Soccer Club President. “Milton Youth Soccer Club is excited to be partnering with EDP on what will no doubt be a must-attend event for the most competitive teams in Canada.”

The winners of each age bracket will advance to the US Youth Soccer National League EDP Conferences Spring Showcase, an event that will feature 300 plus top boys and girls teams from the United States, including several clubs that are members of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy program.  The showcase is expected to attract more than 300 college coaches to the world-class Tuckahoe Turf Farms Soccer Complex in Hammonton, NJ, located outside of Philadelphia, PA.

About the United States Youth Soccer National League
The US Youth Soccer National Leagues Program is for the nation’s top teams in the 13U through 19U boys and girls age groups, offering additional exposure to collegiate, professional and U.S. National Team coaches. In the 2018-19 soccer season, the program will include the national tier called the National League, which will feature a total of 352 teams, as well as the multi-state tier, which will be comprised of a network of several high-level competitive conferences throughout the country.
