EDP Soccer hosted the EDP South Atlantic Winter Showcase this past weekend at Maryland’s premier soccer venue, the Maryland SoccerPlex. The boys side saw top teams compete at 16U-19U, and the girls side had a 19U bracket that included teams from the Girls Academy League and USYS National League Conferences. The event featured over 40 teams from Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and New Jersey, with teams coming from 31 different clubs.

Highlights From This Past Weekend:

19U Boys
Sixteen teams participated in the age group, with four teams finishing with two wins out of two and two other teams finishing with a win and a draw. Coppermine SC was top of the table and was the only team to not allow a goal, while Barca Academy Nova, Go Premier Soccer and Paragon Futbol Academy also finished with two victories.

19U Girls
Shore FC recorded an impressive 2-1 victory over Metro United GA on day one on their way to finish 2-0-0 – one of two teams to do so along with Maryland Elite SC.

17U Boys
SJEB FC and Go Premier Soccer were the two teams out of ten that finished with a 2-0-0 record. Premier Athletic AC finished just behind them with four points, and Alliance SC, Maryland Bobcats FC and Bethesda SC each finished with one win.

16U Boys
Total Futbol and Delaware Revolution ended the weekend 2-0-0 to claim the top spots, as Jersey South FC finished on four points with a win and draw and Go Premier Soccer drew in both of their matches.
