FC Revolution, based out of Reading, Pennsylvania has been producing some of the top girls teams in the nation, with teams winning EPYSA Cups, winning Eastern Regional Championships and participating in National League and USYS National Championships. One of those teams is FC Revolution Rowdies, who were 2019 EPYSA State Cup Champions 2019 Eastern Regional Finalist and in the 2019-2020 National League. Part of the success has come from the club's ability to produce players who are ready to compete at the next level, with players in the Class of 2021 playing for St. Johns, William and Mary, LaSalle, Bucknell, Binghamton, West Chester, Converse, PSU Berks and Liberty. One of the standouts on the team was Ava Goodman in the Class of 2022, who has recently made her college decision.

Goodman has committed to NCAA Division 1 program Liberty University in August, joining former teammate Riley Hill who is a Freshman Goalkeeper for the program. Goodman has collected many accolades in the last few years, including 2020 Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association All-State, 2020 Schuylkill County All-Star Division 1 First Team Forward, when she was the leading scorer for Pottsville HS with four game-winning goals among her 18 goals and 14 assists. Goodman will close out her youth career this year with FC Revolution Dynamo, who in 2019 were the USYS National Finalist.

On selecting Liberty University, Goodman commented: “After visiting school after school, I finally made a decision to play for Liberty University. This wasn’t a hard decision after being on campus for the first time. Once I got there, I knew it's where I wanted to be. The atmosphere and the campus were just amazing, as well as the coaches and the players. It just felt like home and somewhere I was meant to be."

When speaking about her experience playing with FC Revolution, Goodman stated: "FC Revolution has been such a huge part of my life for so many years (since 2013). The club has given me so many opportunities; great coaches and staff, mentors, players that will be my best friends for life, and memories I will never forget. Being coached by Eric Franks and playing with the extremely talented group of girls called the Rowdies in 2016 is an experience I am forever grateful for. I am so thankful for Coach Eric’s knowledge, time, and dedication he put into helping me grow and develop in the sport I love. Thank you Coach Rudy, Mike Moyer, Jerry Moyer, Coach Chris lavedure, and Coach Charlie! It’s bittersweet knowing this will be my final year playing as a REV. Never thought I’d be going back to where it all started and I am excited to have an opportunity to accomplish some big goals as a Dynamo and looking forward to playing with this talented group of girls that I started with one last time! Coach Rudy, Coach Greg, Dynamo… let’s get it!! FC Revolution, I’ll be forever grateful!"

Coach Eric Franks had this to say about Goodman, "Ava is an extremely hardworking, committed, and passionate person.  It has been exciting every day to watch Ava develop and grow at FC Revolution into very talented player with a very bright future.  She deserves everything that she has earned, and she will definitely earn more as she continues her career.  I’m very proud of Ava and I’m looking forward to watching her play at Liberty University."
