Central Jersey Invitational 2021 Girls Recap

EDP Soccer this past weekend hosted the Central Jersey Invitational for 9U-15U girls teams. The event is part of EDP Soccer’s Summer Series, and hosts summer programs from the area's top clubs. Teams at the event were from A-Game, Caps, Deptford Premier, Jersey Shore Boca, NJ Blaze, NJ Premier FC, NJ Rush, NY Red Bulls, PDA, PSA Monmouth, Quickstrike, SAC, STA, The Football Academy NJ, Torpedoes SC, Wall Elite and more!

A Look At The Weekend’s Results

9U Girls
Ocean Township United SA 12 Surge Red defeated Wall Elite Porto in their third group stage game to reach the final, where they would come up against PDA Stars, who were 3-0-0 in the group stage. In a tightly-contested final, PDA won 2-1 to win the Kristie Mewis division. In the Alana Cook division, PDA Express 2012 Two went 4-0-0 to claim the title.

10U Girls
PDA Spirit went 4-0-0 to win the division, finishing three points ahead of Wall Elite Monaco. PDA’s attack carried them through their first two matches, while the backline kept a clean sheet in their final two matches.

11U Girls
New York Red Bulls RDS Showcase G2010 defeated PDA Blaze White 2010, 2-1 in the final of the Carli Lloyd bracket and Wall Elite Juventus defeated A-Game 2011 in the third place. Both games saw a great display of technical ability. In the Emily Sonney division, PDA Spirit Blue 2011 were champions, and in the Crystal Dunn division Tri-State SA Evolution defeated STA-MUSC 2011G NL EDP in an extremely tightly-contested match that ended 3-2.

12U Girls
Torpedoes SC Strikers and PDA 2009 White ECRL finished the top of the Lindsey Horan division with seven points each and, in the Alex Morgan division, PDA Blaze Blue 2010 defeated Deptford Premier FC ‘09G Black 4-3 in a match that went back forth all 60 minutes.

13U Girls
In an all PDA final, PDA Pre-ECNL Legacy Blue 2009 defeated PDA ECNL White Regional 2008, 3-0 to win the Megan Rapinoe division, In the  Kelly O’Hara division, Jersey Shore Boca Jr FC O'Hara '09 would go 3-0-0 in the group stage, and finished their undefeated  weekend with a 3-1 win over NJ Premier FC 2009G Orange in the final.

14U Girls
STA 2008G Academy and PDA ECNL Wildfire White 2008 drew 0-0 in the group stage, and in the rematch in the final, the two sides would be deadlocked again after regulation with the score ending 1-1. After penalty kicks, STA would come away as champions of the Rose Lavelle division. In the Christen Press division, Quickstrike FC 2007 won a dramatic final over PDA South ECNL Regional 2007, scoring the game winner late in the match to win 4-3.

15U Girls
In a rematch of the final group game where the two teams tied 0-0, Wall Elite Napoli was able to make the necessary adjustments heading into the final, propelling them to a 3-0 victory over The Football Academy NJ 2006G Gold.
