EDP Cup Spring Showcase 2021 Tournament Preview

This weekend, EDP Soccer will host the EDP Cup Spring Showcase, which is annually one of the top showcases in the region. The event will feature over 350 15U-19U boys and girls teams from over 100 different clubs from 12 state associations. The tournament will be held at Tuckahoe Turf Farms, Green Branch Park and the Cohansey Soccer Club Fields.


One of the first showcases following the NCAA Dead Period, over 100 college coaches are pre-registered to attend. EDP Soccer has partnered with ScoutingZone and Next Level Video for the event, with select games being filmed and made available to college coaches to enhance the recruiting experience for players at the event.


A look at some of the event’s brackets:

The 19U Boys bracket includes over a dozen teams from USYS National League Conferences, including State Cup Finalists CASA 03 United and State Cup Semi-Finalists NJ Premier 03 and TSF Academy 03. Three of South Jersey’s top teams — Medford Strikers B2002, SJEB Rush 03 Academy and RUSA B03 Gold — join some of New York’s top teams — Brentwood SC Premier 2003 Attack and DUSC B2003/02.


The 19U Girls will feature both teams who reached the NJYS State Cup final, Millville SA Pride and SJEB Rush 03G NL. They are joined by some of the area's top clubs, including FC Delco, STA, Seacoast United and Long Island SC. Also in attendance is EPYSA State Cup Finalist Warrington FC Fusion, and top sides such as WUSC 02/03, NLSA, NJ Premier FC 03 and Jersey Shore Boca JR FC Fusion.


The 17U Boys is highlighted by EPYSA State Cup Champions Lower Merion SC Invictus and CJSA State Champion CT Rush 04 Elite, who are joined by three state cup finalists, PDA Shore Thiago, Penn Alliance Select Elite 04, and Brausa FC Blue 04. Other top teams from around the region include TSF Academy 04, Cedar Stars Newark 04, Lehigh Valley United Black 04, White Plains YS 2004, Dutchmen FC 04, Real Jersey FC 2004 Blue, CASA 04, Soccer Stars United Galaxy, and Clarkstown SC 2004B.


The 17U Girls feature a collection of teams from across the region, with the Diamond bracket having teams from PA, NJ, MD and CT. Keystone FC, YMS and FC Europa, will take on Freedom SC, NLSA and AC Connecticut. This age group also features additional top clubs from around the region including Hotspurs, NY Rush, STA, FC Delco, Sporting Delaware, SJEB Rush, Long Island SC, and South Central Premier.


The 16U Boys will see Brausa FC Blue 05 look to continue their impressive form coming off a MSYSA State Cup Final victory. They are joined by a top ranked team from Illinois  —  Roadrunners SC B2005 Premier, and several of the area's top sides. PSC Academy 2005B Blue recently clinched their spot in National League P.R.O, and Torpedoes SC 2005B Red, PDA Shore 2005 Shearer, Ronkonkoma SC Real, PA Dominion FC 2005, SJEB Rush 05 Academy, Cedar Stars Newark 05, Lower Merion SC Legacy, Hudson Valley Select and Caps 05 Arsenal are some of the other teams coming off quality performances in the National League Conferences.


The 16U Girls has Delaware’s top team, Sporting Delaware 05G Academy, joining ENYYSA State Cup Semi-Finalist Patriots FC 05 and Keystone Premier 05G to take on some of New Jersey’s top sides. They will play NJYS State Cup Semi-Finalist NJ Premier FC 05, New Jersey Surf South Shore and Medford Strikers 2005. 


The 15U Boys will see both NJ Premier FC 2006 Boys and Brentwood SC Premier 2006 Academy United in action after both teams earned the place in National League P.R.O. They are joined by CJSA State Cup Finalist Bridgeport Premier 2006, SJEB Rush 06 Academy, and two NJYS State Cup Semi-Finalists, STA Mount Olive 2006 and Cedar Stars Newark 06.


The 15U Girls feature two state cup champions, Lower Merion SC Impact from EPYSA and Maryland Rush SOMD 06G. They are joined by NJ Premier FC who recently won their National League Mid Atlantic Premier I Division, and RUSA FC G06 Gold who participated in this year's National League Playoff as one of the nation’s top teams.
