By Evan Unger, 04/06/21, 4:15PM EDT

Massapequa SC Fury G03, a member of the USYS National League North Atlantic Conference has been one of the top teams in Eastern New York for their entire existence. Most recently, the team represented the North Atlantic Conference at the 2019 USYS Eastern Regionals, which was their second trip to regionals as a team. Their first appearance at Regionals was in 2017 after winning the Eastern New York Girls 14U State Cup. Since 2015, the team has either won or been to the final at the State Cup and qualified for either a regional or national event each year. In the squad's final season, they have started the conference season with a 3-0-0 record.

On the players' final season and the team's success during their careers, Head Coach Paul Biglin commented, “I am extremely proud of this group, and how they have handled this past year. As Student-Athletes, I have never been involved with a group so academically accomplished. The combination of their high academic standards, and playing ability, helped immensely during these times of restricted recruiting opportunities. I am also very happy for them that they have been able to participate in their senior year of high school soccer, and that they are all excelling. Since U15, we have had the pleasure of playing in tournaments and events in New Jersey, Arizona, Florida, Virginia, Maryland, Colorado, and West Virginia, always representing Long Island and the Massapequa S.C. to the best of our ability. This is truly a special group of young ladies that will be missed, but I am looking forward to seeing them play and thrive at the next level.”

The team currently has 13 players committed to play collegiate soccer next Fall.

On Massapequa Soccer Club’s  history of college placement and the player's future in college soccer, Biglin stated: “Our strong history of college placement for our players continues, and this current group of Massapequa S.C. players are poised to succeed on the field and in the classroom. This is a special group to me, and I am hopeful the season will culminate with a successful trip to the Eastern Regionals and a possible birth at the USYS Nationals this summer.”
