Nico Rosamilia has been playing in EDP Soccer Leagues and Tournaments since he was 9 years old. Nico was a member of Ironbound SC Fever and was coached by legendary coach John Millar, Chris Tolkin and Sal Rosamilia. Recently Nico committed to play for NCAA Division I program Rutgers University, and will look to continue his promising career in his home state.

During his time with Ironbound SC Fever, the team was a mainstay in the EDP Leagues top division, and also featured in top brackets of EDP tournaments. In 2017, the team won the NJYS U15 State Cup, and would make it to the semifinals of the USYS Eastern Regional Championships.

Following his years with Ironbound SC, Nico would join New York Red Bulls Academy to finish out his youth career. With New York Red Bulls, Nico attended the inaugural EDP Winter Showcase in February 2020, where he would play in front of Rutgers Men’s Soccer program Associate Head Coach Gavin Wyse and assistant coach Tyler Stakiwicz who were 2 of the 45 NCAA Division I coaches in attendance.

As Nico finishes out his senior year with New York Red Bulls Academy, he will take the lessons learned from his years with Ironbound SC as he looks to make a splash with Rutgers in the Big 10 when the 2021 college season begins.

On his commitment to Rutgers, Nico commented “I chose Rutgers because I feel there is great potential to win games and compete for championships right away.  Also, the facilities, and most importantly the great coaching staff to guide us to reach our team goals.”
