The EDP Florida Competitive League is nearing the end of its first season, with many teams vying for their spot at the top of the table. This Fall, the league consists of divisions in Central Florida and South Florida, with multiple divisions of play in each area. With top clubs and teams involved and the geographic density in both areas, the league has been able to provide its members a good game every week with limited travel.
Nearly 700 games have been played so far, with almost half being decided by 2 goals or less.
Cris Corrêa, director of R9 Academy, stated “The Ronaldo Academy Soccer Club is enjoying every bit of the EDP league. Fellow clubs and the EDP administrative league staff have been working great together to make a successful first Fall season as we prepare for the Spring season. We look forward to new clubs and teams joining to continue to raise the level to be the most competitive league in the region. Thank you EDP!”
Marc Montero, Technical Director for Barca Academy PRO Miami commented, "The Barca Academy PRO Miami are happy to be part of this first season of the EDP Florida Competitive Leagues. We have found the games are meaningful and local, where our players can develop and enjoy the overall experience."
