Juventus FC is one of the most famous clubs in the world and is home to superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. This month, the club signed its first ever American-born player Weston McKennie. Now, with its academies across the United States, the club is looking to develop another generation of american stars.

Starting in the 2020-2021 season, Juventus Academy Miami will join Juventus Academy Boston as the second branch to participate in leagues managed by EDP. Juventus Academy Boston will participate in the inaugural season of the USYS National League New England Conference managed by EDP, while Juventus Academy Miami will participate in the EDP Florida Competitive Leagues.
Recently, Juventus Academy Miami was granted FYSA affiliate status and is looking forward to participating in USYS programming. The club is no stranger to EDP and playing for championships, as the club has been participating in the EDP Cup, held each season at Tuckahoe Turf Farms in Hammonton, NJ. In 2018 and 2019, the 2009 boys played thrilling finals against Cedar Stars Academy Bergen, winning the event in 2018 on penalty kicks.

Players at Juventus Academy Miami are taught to play the Juventus way. The clubs methodology includes five pillars including Style of Play, Technical Ability, Tactical Ability, Mental Factor and Emotional and Social Factor. The style of play is to keep possession of the ball and stay calm and to focus on individual initiative and collective hard work. Technical ability is honed through dynamic drills that aim to perfect every technical skill. The development of each individual player is placed at the heart of every exercise.

Tactical Ability is run through several detailed individual and team match situations, to be alternated throughout the week. The mental factor is training the individual to make effective decisions in match situations. Develop their speed of thought to adapt with changeable tactical and technical scenarios. The emotional and social factor is promoting an identity fostering the values of sacrifice, bravery and teamwork, to be applied both on and off the pitch.

Stefano Ledda, Juventus Academy Miami Director of Coaching stated “In just 8 short years, we've established 4 locations with over 35 coaches and 800 players wearing the Bianconeri. What a family we've built! As a newly affiliated member of FYSA and a founding member of EDP Soccer in South Florida, our past has been great, but our future is even brighter.”

The club is looking forward to entering its next chapter as an FYSA affiliate member, and a founding member of the EDP Florida Competitive League.
