EDP Futsal Cup Delmarva 2020 Recap

The 2020 EDP Futsal Cup DELMARVA concluded after 2 days of play for 9U to 19U Boys and Girls teams played January 25th and 26th, splitting age and gender brack matchups on the following dates:


  • January 25th Boys 9U-19U

  • January 26th Girls 9U-19U


Check out some bracket highlights from the 2020 EDP Futsal Cup DELMARVA:


In the 19U Women bracket, Sporting Maryland FC Sporting Maryland 01 finished at the top of the table with 18 points, followed by Sporting Maryland FC Sporting Maryland 2004G in second with 13 points and Charles County Futsal 04G Blue in third with 10 points. For 19U Boys, Maryland Independent Salisbury Legacy beat CCSC Warriors 3-0 to win their age group in the bracket's final.


For 15U Women’s, SAC05G Blue Rebels finished at the top of their table with 18 points, followed by Salisbury United 05 Gold Girls Gray in second and Coastal Atlantic Futbol (CAFC) CAFC 2005 Blue Girls in third. While Frederick United beat NLS Boys 05/06, 4-2, to win the in 15U Boys age bracket.


Salisbury United SC 09 Gold White shutout Coastal Atlantic Futbol (CAFC) CAFC 09/10 Blue 5-0 to win the 11U Girls’ age group. Similar results transpired in the 11U Boys final when ETA United Futsaleta 09B beat River PSU 11, 6-0 to close out their age group.

The 10U Girls bracket had a tightly contested final game, as Henlopen Thunder edged out a narrow 3-2 win over Smyrna-Clayton SC Lighting to win their age group. While it was an all Salisbury final for 10U Boys, as Salisbury United SC 10 Gold White faced off again Salisbury United 2010 Gold Boys Gray. Salisbury United SC 10 Gold White won by a narrow margin, 3-2, to ultimately win the bracket.


Sporting Maryland Sporting MD South 2011 beat CAFC 2011 Green by a 4 goal margin and a scoreline of 5-1 in the 9U Boys final to finish the group.
