East Region Teams Shine at US Youth Soccer National League: Girls Opening Week Recap

US Youth Soccer National League competition for 15U-19U Girls wrapped up a 4-day weekend of play in North Carolina, while the US Youth Soccer National League 14U’s also concluded 4 games in Florida.

 

After 4 days of competition, two teams from US Youth Soccer Conferences managed by EDP are currently in 1st place within their brackets. The 19U 1776 United FC 01 Xtreme (EPYSA) in the Blue Bracket and the 16U FC Revolution Dynamo (EPYSA) in the Black Bracket both sit at the top of their tables in first place, respectively.

 

Teams who finish the season in first place within their bracket automatically earn a berth to the US Youth Soccer National Championship.

 

In the 18U age group, the PSA National 02 (NJYS) are currently in 2nd place in the White Bracket.

 

While the following teams from US Youth Soccer Conferences managed by EDP all currently sit in 3rd place:
 

  • 18U: New Jersey Rush 02 Grey (NJYS), Pipeline 02 Pre-Academy (MD), and Coppermine SC (MSYSA)

  • 17U: Delaware FC (DYSA)

  • 16U: FC Revolution Dynamo (EPYSA) and Philadelphia SC Coppa Swarm 04 (EPYSA)

  • 15U: STA 2005G USYS (NJYS)

  • Caitlin Donovan of 1776 United FC, who is committed to La Salle University, has 9 goals and is leading the 19U age group.
     
  • Baylee DeSmit, of Pipeline SC and Julia Eichenbaum, of PSA, are tied for 3rd with 4 goals apiece for the 18U age group. Baylee is committed to Loyola University Maryland and Julia is committed to the University of Illinois.
     
  • Peyton Gilmore of FC Copa Academy, is currently fourth in the 17U age group with 6 goals scored.
     
  • And in the 14U age group, Morgan Kotch of Real Jersey FC is currently the leading scorer with 8 goals.
