Congratulations to the teams that have Qualified for the 2019-2020 US Youth Soccer National League

East Brunswick, New Jersey—EDP would like to congratulate the 85 boys and girls teams that have qualified for the 2019-2020 US Youth Soccer National League from all three US Youth Soccer Conferences managed by EDP — the US Youth Soccer North Atlantic EDP Conference, US Youth Soccer Mid Atlantic EDP Conference and US Youth Soccer South Atlantic EDP Conference.  The announcement of the National League teams was made last week by US Youth Soccer.

“The 2019 US Youth Soccer National Championships have just concluded and excitement is already building for next year’s season,” said EDP CEO Alan Shilling.  “And the teams from US Youth Soccer Conferences, managed by EDP, have proven to be amongst some of the best in the nation as nine teams from US Youth Soccer Conferences, managed by EDP, went on to play in the 2019 US Youth Soccer National Championship matches, with four teams lifting the trophy as National Champions.

The following top teams will be representing their State Associations and Conferences during the 2019-2020 National League Season:

To qualify for the US Youth Soccer National League, teams earned their place by qualifying as one of the following:

  • US Youth Soccer National League Division Winners

  • Regional Cup Championship Winners

  • US Youth Soccer National League Conference Winners

  • At-Large Selection

The top 14U-19U teams from the National League divisions advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships, the oldest and most prestigious youth soccer national championship in the country. There, teams are set to compete in seven games across two showcases events drawing college coaches and scouts from around the country. The four National League representatives then join the four Regional Champions to play for the National Championship.

Since its inception in 2007, National League teams have claimed 75 percent of all National Championships. Meaning this is the division where the most competitive teams in the country play. The top teams in each 14U through 18U National League division also secure a spot to return to the National League for the following season. The National League annually features teams from various parts of the country — often having 40 or more of the 55 US Youth Soccer State Associations represented in a single season. The variety of teams in the league brings with it an opportunity to face multiple styles of play and unique challenges throughout each National League season.
