EDP Soccer Privacy Policy
and Website Terms of Use

EDP Soccer is dedicated to the soccer community it serves, and carefully restricts its activities to such as would interest and benefit that community. EDP Soccer does believe that avenues of communication within the soccer community are often under-developed, and that the sport benefits from greater access to, and information about events, goods and services that serve that community.

EDP Soccer does not and will not share contact information on coaches, managers, club officials, administrators, players, parents, referees, or any other individuals in our database to any company or institution other than those we reasonably believe that members of the soccer community would want that information shared with, or unless we are given explicit consent.

This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their 'Personally Identifiable Information' (PII) is being used online. PII, as described in US privacy law and information security, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context. Please read our privacy policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your Personally Identifiable Information in accordance with our website.

Collected Information

EDP Soccer collects information primarily through the various online registration software systems it utilizes to register teams for league participation and tournament play.

Such information may be provided to EDP Soccer though various channels:

  • Information you give us directly. For example, many of our services require you to register through a GotSoccer or GotSport Account. When you do, you may be providing personal information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, gender, birth date, etc. This is most often used by your team, club, association and state organization.

  • Information others provide us about you. For example, Team Coaches or Managers may enter player information into a Team Account for a tournament or league without your knowledge. EDP Soccer assumes those that enter personal information into or export data from our database have the right to do so.

Information may be used:

  • To communicate with team officials and, less frequently, with team members regarding information about the upcoming event.

  • For showcases to create the player profile binders printed for the benefit of evaluators in attendance at the event.

  • To create event printouts requiring team rosters (such as gamecards) for events.

  • To generate a list of email contacts that allows EDP Soccer to keep its participants informed about upcoming events, or products and services of interest to the soccer community.

EDP Soccer will ask for your consent before using information for a purpose other than those that are set out in this Privacy Policy.

EDP Soccer will share personal information with companies, organizations or individuals outside of EDP Soccer if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:

  • Meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.

  • Enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations.

  • Detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.

  • Protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of EDP Soccer, our users or the public as required or permitted by law.

Information Safety and Security

EDP Soccer utilizes industry-accepted measures to protect our users from unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of information we hold.

Note that we encrypt many of our services using Secure Socket Layers (SSL as https:).

We restrict access to personal information to EDP Soccer employees, contractors and agents who need access to information in order to process it. Users providing information through online registration software leased by EDP Soccer, such as GotSoccer, GotSport, Demosphere, etc., should also review the Information Security and Privacy Policies of those software registration companies, which is typically accessed from the company’s portal or homepage.
