EDP Represented at the Upcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup
What do Tim Weah, James Sands and Christopher Gloster have in common?
Not only were they just selected to represent the United States in the upcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup, but they all participated in EDP programming.
Weah played in EDP competition for BW Gottschee prior to moving onto Europe to play for Paris Saint-Germain in France, while Sands played in EDP for New York Soccer Club prior to moving onto New York City FC, where he is now with that MLS club’s first team.
Gloster, who plays for the New York Red Bulls U.S. Soccer Development Academy team, received technical training from then EDP Technical Director John Saunders at The Fields Sports Complex in East Brunswick.
“We offer our heartiest congratulations to Tim Weah, James Sands and Christopher Gloster as they represent the U.S. in what we are confident will be a successful run at the upcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup,” said EDP CEO Alan Shilling.
The U17 World Cup will take place October 6 through 28 in India.
