It’s that time of year, when high school seniors begin committing to the colleges where they’ll spend the next four years studying, making new friends, and, for some, playing soccer!
At EDP we believe that education is crucial and preparation for college should start early. That’s why we run programs like EDP Futures, Pathway to College and PDP. These programs help to advance soccer skills while educating our athletes about what may lie ahead in the next phase of their athletic and academic lives.
Besides those programs, our Showcase tournament series offers players the opportunity to be scouted and noticed by college soccer coaches. Showcase tournaments also include educational seminars to prepare players for college even more comprehensively. In 2016, we had a total of 893 college coaches in attendance at our showcase events!
This year we’re particularly proud of our players and the variety of college soccer programs they’ve committed to for the 2017-18 season. Congratulations to all EDP players who’ve committed thus far and we’re excited to see more as they roll in over the next few months!
